Title: Senior Manager Quality Operations

Job Overview:

Quality, Health, Safety, Environment & Security (QHSES)

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring that the tools, processes procedures and systems for welding and NDE operations are maintained and globally implemented.

  • Supporting the strategic vision of the Company’s welding and NDE program and ensure its global deployment.

  • Ensuring that competent resources are maintained in all area operations for welding/NDE

  • Overseeing maintenance and implementation of the Global QC Inspection Platform

  • Principle NDE level III

  • Interfacing with Supply chain as required on quality matters regarding vendors / subcontractors

  • Ensuring that global documentation for the Quality Function within the management system is maintained

  • Provision of support to Areas on problems regarding welding, NDE, and vendor quality issued as required

  • Oversight of Global Welding Engineering and NDE to ensure consistency in process and resources

  • Development and maintenance of Global Quality Control Fabrication and Construction Weld Inspection Platform

  • Global Subject Matter Expert and point of contact for global issues related to welding engineering

  • Coordination of global research and development for welding/NDE

  • Development and Management of a centralized database for global welding procedures

  • Maintaining contacts with internal welding engineering functions and external technical groups such as ASTM, DNV, EWI.

  • Global Quality oversight of vendors and subcontractors regarding pre-qualification and performance recommendations

  • Liaising with Area Management for vendor and subcontractor technical issues

  • Maintaining Global Quality processes and procedures and interfacing with area functions to ensure global implementation

  • Supporting Quality Assurance oversight through reviews, audits, and surveillances as requested

  • Conducting / assisting with Root Cause investigations and compilation of reports

  • Communication of welding/NDE lessons learned across the organization and incorporating learning into the Management System and processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15 years within the Energy Industry through all phases of EPCI project delivery

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or equivalent experience/certification

  • Extensive functional, industry and leadership expertise.

  • Professional Membership of relevant institutions – QHSES

  • Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader.

  • Have wide experience with technical activities, including on and offshore operations.

  • Maintain key competencies associated with the Quality function

  • Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.

  • Be conversant with local and international laws, codes, regulations and norms.
